Weigh In Wednesday

Another week, Zero pounds.  I'm trying not to stress about it - I have my first fill scheduled for the 21st, and I'm hoping that will make a difference.

I know my protein intake is not enough, so I have started having a shake in the morning.  Maybe this will work.

This has to turn around soon, right?  I mean, I can't have POSSIBLY gone through all this just to stay as fat as ever, right?  I feel like I am doing the right things and not seeing any results - and it's getting pretty depressing.

Sorry for being a downer.  Hope everyone is having a good day.  Half way to Friday!!

  1. Wow, you've lost 40 lbs pre-fill? You're not just as fat as ever - you're awesome! I've had a fill (and am scheduled for another one in 6 days) and I've only lost 30.2 lbs total! Keep doing what you're doing. Us bandsters didn't opt into surgery for a life of dieting, which is what you're doing right now in bandster hell. So just keep that in mind!

  2. And when I say, "I've only lost 30.2 lbs total!" I mean, "I'm awesome, too!" =P Just realized I sounded a little negative there. Oops!

  3. Dont ever feel bad for venting when you are a little down. If you cant be your true self (whatever mood that is) then what good is it to blog. We need to hear all of it....the good, the bad and the ugly. I need to use the blog to vent cause I am sure my family doesnt want to hear it all the time and they really dont understand anyway.
I also fear what will happen when I get the band. I know it isnt an easy fix and I will have to work at it. I'm sure what you are going through is not new. Hang in there.

  5. Hi Melissa Mae! I just found your blog. It sounds like you're doing really well. Don't be discouraged. You are in Bandster Hell, which is the time between surgery and before you get good restriction. You're essentially dieting. Just keep getting your fills and following the bandster rules (eat slower, protein first, chew thouroughly). You'll get there!

I was banded last February and have lost more than 100 lbs. I'm now at goal. Stop by http://amandakiska.blogspot.com

  6. A lot of people gain weight in the time before their first fill..so you are going a great job of maintaining your already fantastic weigh loss!!!

  7. I know how you feel. Until after my second fill I only lost 10 pounds since my surgery. I remember just crying because I felt like the only person that could not lose weight with the band. I had my second fill 2 weeks ago and can already tell a difference. You have done great so far and look at all the NSVs you have had too. Remember we are changing our lives forever and sometimes it takes time.
